The medieval Barrio Populo and its trendy bars are 2 mins and the many fish and seafood restaurants famous in Cadiz are within 10 minutes walk. The cities of Jerez and Seville are 20 minutes and 1 hour respectively and there is a frequent bus and train service to both.   Prices begin at 290 euros per week in the low season.

* Price for booking made before end of 2009 with a reservation deposit for dates in 2010. Special long term rental prices available on request. Bookings of under 7 days are calculated on a daily rate (weekly rate divided by 7 and multiplied by the number of days). Minimum rental 3 days. We charge a minimum supplement of £40 on bookings of under 7 nights.

Changeover day
Arrivals between 1 - 6pm or by prior arrangement for late flights. Departures by 10am. We will try to accommodate a later departure but this is dependent upon incoming clients. No fixed changeover day.

Notes on accommodation
Heating by oil filled portable radiators during winter. The processional route from Cadiz Cathedral passes along the street to the front of this property and gives fabulous ariel views of the annual processions - ideal for Easter week or Christmas. For those with mobility problems we would recommend our Merchant House property on the Owners Direct site reference S4028 as it is on the first floor.

Outside
Stunning rooftop patio (500 sq.ft.) accessed via glass wall from lounge - with dining table and chairs, extendible sun canopes, sun loungers, stone built Andalucian barbecue, plants, flowers etc. Floodlighting for evening barbecues or sundown drinks. Skyline views of old Cadiz including Cathedral and Townhall belltower. Very private and ideal for sunbathing all year round. Also a perfect spot for painters or writers to find some inspiration.

Coast/Beach
Sea and promenade 3 minutes walk and the famous white sand beaches of Cadiz 8 mins walk. Beautiful beaches of Rota, Sanlucar and Chipiona 30 to 40 mins. Famous La Barossa Beach in Chiclana 20 mins and Europes Windsurfing Capital - Tarifa only 1 hr by car. There is also the Doñana National Park beaches accessible from Sanlucar by a short ferry crossing or by road from Huelva Province. Visit Sanlucar in August to see the horse racing on the beach.

Ideally located for Montecastillo Golf and Country Park (home of the Volvo Masters) 25 minutes by car. Sanlucar Golf Course 30 mins, Sherry Park Golf Jerez (20 minutes). Our nearest restaurant is one of Cadiz´s newest and most talked about restaurants - only 10 yds from our door. Cadiz is reckoned by the Spanish to be the most exciting city in Spain and to hold the best fiestas in Spain of which there are many! Come in February for the Carnival a colourful spectacled held in the La Viña are of the City only 10 minutes walk. If you want to go a little further there are many other activities including a day trip by boat from Cadiz to Seville with lunch on board. The famous Royal Riding School of Jerez (visits and exhibitions daily). The famous sherry and wine houses of Jerez (visits and tastings daily). My wife and I have visited many cities in Spain and places in the south west of Spain but Cadiz has really captured our hearts. The people are charming, the city is one of the most intersting places we have visited and basically we thank you for making our trip possible.

Loved the penthouse - amazing location. Never walked more than 5 minutes to find a new tapas bar or restaurant to eat in that we had not already visited. We cant believe the selection of good eateries and the fish and seafood was fabulous. The wine wasnt bad either!

Fabulous penthouse and stunning terrace. Spent 4 days in Cadiz doing all the sites - incredible, and transport was fantastic. We went to Morocco on Tuesday, Gibraltar on Wednesday and Seville on Thursday! Fabulous trip - thank you.

Apartamento fabuloso de 2 dormitorios con una terraza privada de 50m y zona de barbacoa.  Hay 2 dormitorios de matrimonio, un cuarto de baño, cocina y salón.  Está situado en una calle estrecha y peatonal cerca de la Plaza San Juan de Dios y el Ayuntamiento de Cádiz.  Tiene vistas a todo el casco antiguo.  El ayuntamiento está a 1 minuto a pie, la catedral 2 minutos a pie, la plaza de abastos y mercado de flores 3 minutos, las tiendas 6 minutos, el paseo marítimo y el mar 3 minutos y la playa a sólo 10 minutos a pie.  Estación de tren y de autobúses 3 minutos a pie.  Hay un parking subterráneo de 24 horas y na parada de taxi a 2 minutos.  El puerto de Cádiz y el ferry están a 3 minutos a pie.  Hay tabernas de flamenco, restaurantes especializando en pescado, bares de tapas y un supermercado muy cerca.  En el barrio medieval de El Populo hay bares cosmopolitanos.  La ciudad de Jerez está a 20 minutos en coche, Sevilla a una hora, hay autobúses y trenes desde Cádiz a las 2 ciudades.

Calefacción - radiadores de aceite en invierno.  La ruta procesional pasa por abajo de la vivienda, no se puede mejorar las vistas desde el piso durante Semana Santa o Navidad.  Para gente con problemas de mobilidad recomendamos nuestra vivienda en la C/Soto (primera planta), ref R505.

Exterior - la vivienda tiene una terraza soleada de 50m con toldo, mesa de comedor y sillas, tumbonas, barbacoa de piedra, plantas y macetas de flores.  Hay focos y es un sitio ideal para cenar o ver la puesta del sol.  Hay vistas a la catedral y a la torre de campana del ayuntamiento.  La terraza es muy privada y ideal para tomarse el sol, pintar, escribir o relajarse.

Costa/Playa
El mar y el paseo maritimo están a 3 minutos a pie y las playas famosas de Cádiz con su arena blanca a 10 minutos.  Playas bonitas en Rota, Sanlúcar y Chipiona 30 a 40 mins en coche.  La Barossa en Chiclana 20 mins y la capital de surf - Tarifa sólo a una hora en coche.  Hay más playas en el Parque Natural de Doñana, acceso de Sanlúcar eb ferry o en coche desde la provincia de Huelva.  Carreras e caballo en Sanlúcar en agosto.

Golf
Montecastillo Golf y Hotel (Volvo Masters) 25 minutos en coche.  Sanlucar Golf 30 mins, Sherry Park Golf, Jerez 20 minutes.
